Gail’s Bio

Gail Harnett wins NAR Director Election!

Hailing from Long Island, New York, Gail and her family moved to Boise, Idaho from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1987.   The Hartnett’s quickly found that they were sent to “heaven” and Gail became a walking Chamber of Commerce for our beautiful capital city and the great state of Idaho.

It is in Boise that she entered into a successful career as a Realtor in 1992. She jumped right into volunteerism at the Ada County Association of REALTORS® being honored as ACAR’s 1998 Realtor of the Year and serving as President of the association in 1999.   Gail was an active participant or chair of numerous committees at ACAR.   She was elected to the MLS Board of Directors in 1997 and was a charter member of the ACAR Foundation Board.

Since 1996, Gail has served nationally as a member of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® and in 2006 was the National President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®.  She is a national speaker and was an instructor of WCR’s award winning Leadership Academy.

Hartnett followed these successes with her election as President of the Idaho Association of Realtors® in 2007. Gail has chaired the state Public Policy and Professional Development Committees.   She is an instructor of IAR’s Rookie Realtor Class and an NAR certified Mediator.   A major RPAC donor and President’s Circle member she served as a National RPAC Trustee in 2007.   Active on the Legislative committee she has been a Federal Political Coordinator for NAR for the last 4 years.  Currently Gail is serving on NAR’s Executive Committee.  These positions allowed Hartnett to interact with a diverse cross-section of the real estate community.

For her extraordinary service to the community, Gail has received numerous honors and awards.   In 2001 the Women’s and Children’s Alliance of Boise honored her with the TWIN award (Tribute to Women in Industry). She was awarded the “Omega Tau Ro” in 2007 by NAR. Gail was also honored this year by Boise State University with their “Women Making History” award.  Gail Hartnett has been appointed and serves on the advisory board of the Idaho State Meth Project.

Happily married to Ron for 39 years, they are very proud of their three grown children, their three “perfect” grandchildren and their 8 month old Black Labrador puppy, Baxter.

Gail is a consistent Top Producer, listing and selling as the Team Leader of THE GAIL HARTNETT TEAM.
